What does my child need to wear to their gymnastics lessons?
Pre-School: Leggings/jogging bottoms with a t-shirt
Beginners:
Leggings/jogging bottoms with a t-shirt or a gymnastics leotard if preferred (cycling shorts/leggings may be worn over the top of leotards)
Recreational & above: Gymastics leotard with cycling shorts/leggings over the top of leotards
In the winter months round neck sweatshirts are welcomed, but please no hoodies or zipper jackets. Thank you
Can my child attend mutiple sessions?
Yes your child can attend two beginner classes a week, this will help your child progress faster and fast track moving up to the next level. However please note that signing up for additional classes will occur an additional cost. Your child's will be offered to move up a level once they are ready to progress past the beginner level.
Am I able to stay & watch my child's gymnastics lesson?
Our viewing area will be available for parents to watch classes during viewing weeks. The viewing week calendar dates are available on our door at the club. Our viewing policy has been put in place to benefit every child, helping them get the most out of their classes. Not only are children more focused which benefits their progression within gymnastics, it also helps strengthen independence and confidence.
What child protection and other policies does the club follow?
A disclosure and barring service (DBS) background check is completed by British Gymnastics on all staff & coaches. The DBS prevents unsuitable adults from working with vulnerable groups, including children. The club has a full time welfare officer who has been fully trained by British Gymnastics & Sports Coach UK. Please refer to our policies page for more information.
